Start with a clear photo

Face forward in soft, even light. Include space above and beside your full hair outline. Use a plain background and avoid filters or headwear.

Add a crown photo for visible coverage

Photograph the top of the head. Drag a rectangle around a visible part or scalp region that includes both hair and exposed skin. Exclude the forehead, background, fingers and accessories.

Select a crown photo to choose the measurement region.

This estimates visible hair coverage in the selected region. It does not count follicles or measure biological density.
